On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, in order to remember history, honor the martyrs, and inherit the spirit of peace, the Party branch of Changsha Weihui High tech New Material Co., Ltd. organized all Party members and active Party applicants to carry out the theme Party Day activity of "Remembering History, Guarding Peace" in Huaihua, Zhijiang and other places.
On August 15th, the party branch and its delegation visited Qiliqiao Village, Zhijiang Town, Zhijiang Dong Autonomous County, Hunan Province, where the Chinese people accepted the surrender of the invading Japanese army. They also visited the Memorial Hall and former site of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japan. 80 years ago today, the Emperor of Japan read out the "Edict of Termination of War" and unconditionally surrendered to the world anti fascist alliance. The former site of the surrender ceremony in the Chinese theater of war truly reproduces the historical moment when the Chinese people accepted the surrender of the invading Japanese army. Party members and active party members followed the footsteps of the tour guide, stopping in front of precious historical relics, listening carefully to the explanations, deeply feeling the arduous and outstanding years of the Anti Japanese War, and remembering the great moment of the Chinese people's victory in the War of Resistance Against Japan.
Subsequently, the group visited the Flying Tigers Memorial Hall, which was established to commemorate the Air Force Flying Tigers for their devastating attacks on the Japanese Air Force and ground forces, as well as their significant contributions to China's victory in the War of Resistance Against Japan. It is an important historical witness to the friendship between China and the United States. There are a large number of precious cultural relics displayed in the museum, including the Flying Tigers fighter jets, physical objects used by the Flying Tigers, various literature materials, precious pictures, etc., which truly reproduce the heroic deeds and living scenes of the Flying Tigers during the Chinese Anti Japanese War. Everyone is deeply moved by the heroic deeds of the Chinese and American anti Japanese activists.
On August 16th, the party branch visited Fengmu Village, Pingcun Town, Huitong County, the hometown of Comrade Su Yu, the first general of the Republic, and visited the former residence and memorial hall of General Su Yu. By observing the physical display and historical material introduction, everyone gained a comprehensive and in-depth understanding of General Su Yu's life story and outstanding contributions, and was all impressed by his firm revolutionary beliefs and superb military wisdom.
This themed party day activity has provided all party members and active party applicants with a profound education on patriotism and revolutionary tradition. Everyone expressed the need to remember history, cherish the hard won peace, take revolutionary predecessors as examples, focus on their own work, fully play the exemplary role of party members, and contribute their own strength to the peace and stability of the motherland, the development of the company, and social progress.
